Newbury Historical Commission directs Chair to address demolition inquiry at former Town Hall. Chair Rich Morin will contact the Assistant Town Administrator about the demolition-by-right question for 25 High Road, listed in the town's historic district record. Treasurer Lon Hachmeister reported Gift Fund holdings of $2,812.65 and noted that $3,456.67 transferred from a Special Account to General Town Funds remains unreturned; the commission plans to raise this at Town Meeting.
The commission also discussed needed repairs to the Schoolhouse fascia and soffits and an overdue alarm system update.
