Committee advances recreation plan, coordinates with Historic Commission

Newbury Open Space Committee advances plan sections, coordinates with historic preservation effort. The committee divided responsibility for completing its Open Space and Recreation Plan, with Assistant Planner Sadie Woodward drafting initial versions of Sections 1 and 2 for member review, and members Jim Dooling and Sean McElroy assigned to complete remaining sections. Members of the Lower Green Local Historic District Study Committee presented Warrant Article 24, which will be voted on at the May 5, 2026 Town Meeting with a required two-thirds majority.

The Open Space Committee agreed to coordinate future projects with the Newbury Historical Commission.
