Conservation Commission approves permits, continues housing review
Conservation Commission · Meeting of May 4, 2026
Newbury Conservation Commission approves residential permit improvements and orders housing stormwater review. The board issued Orders of Conditions at its May 4 meeting for septic replacement at 75 Pearson Drive and landscaping work at 14 Southern Boulevard, and approved four negative determinations for residential projects. An MBTA-zoned housing development at 34 Central Street requires independent peer review of stormwater systems, following resident concerns about runoff and wetland capacity.
Several applications, including new home construction at 177 Middle Road and a town beach project, were continued to May 19.
