Conservation Commission Issues Negative Determination for Upper Green Project

Newbury Conservation Commission advances Upper Green Pond improvements. The Conservation Commission issued a negative determination 7-0 for the town's proposed Upper Green Pond project, including aerator installation, native buffer zone plantings, and herbicide treatment for invasive vegetation, with required water quality monitoring. The commission also issued an order of conditions 7-0 for a marina expansion at 291 High Road featuring seasonal bottom-anchored floats and requiring adherence to Department of Marine Fisheries comments and annual maintenance permits.

Multiple development projects were continued to March 3, including the Newbury Town Beach Project, a boardwalk expansion at 45 Boston Road, and an MBTA residential housing development at 34 Central Street.
