Local Historic District Study Committee · Meeting of May 4, 2026

NEWBURY — Local Historic District Study Committee approves final study report. Chair Robin Etheridge's committee unanimously approved the Final Study Report for the local historic district of Newbury, including 269 High Road with owner approval. The committee received a late objection from Jeffrey Hanson, President of the Sons and Daughters of the First Settlers of Newbury, regarding the Jackman-Willett House but declined to amend boundaries before Town Meeting, citing four years of prior outreach.

The report advances to Town Meeting consideration.
