Newbury Conservation Commission reduces Borrego Solar performance bond

Newbury Conservation Commission approves multiple property determinations and reduces solar project bond. The board unanimously approved negative determinations for ground-mounted solar installation at 2 Yale Way and boardwalk repairs at 77 Hay Street, among other properties, plus an order of conditions for house rebuilding at 16 Low Street. Three public hearings including applications for expanded marina operations at 291 High Road and MBTA residential housing at 34 Central Street were continued to January 20.
The commission reduced the Borrego Solar project's performance bond to $100,000 after determining that construction met approved specifications with only minor discrepancies.
