Newbury completes classification of new Fire Department administration post. The Human Resources Board Classification Subcommittee on January 29 finalized the job classification for Deputy Chief of Administration and Logistics, a newly created position designed to support the Fire Chief with administrative duties and personnel oversight. The role received a rating of 17 under the town's new Classification Plan.
The position is designated for 19 hours per week of responsibilities in addition to emergency medical response work.
