NEWBURY OPEN SPACE COMMITTEE ADVANCES RECREATION PLAN DRAFT

Newbury Open Space Committee advances Open Space and Recreation Plan with MVPC collaboration. The committee unanimously approved its December minutes and voted to send sections 3-5 of the draft OSRP to the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission for initial review. Members agreed to restructure sections 6 and 7 into a table format with clear goals, objectives, and action items, prioritizing funding sources, property maintenance, public access on private lands, resident communication, and establishment of a land trust.
Sadie Woodward, Assistant Planner, will organize the input and summarize survey results for inclusion in the final plan.
