Newbury sees 14 recorded deeds in past month, half involving family or trust transfers
Newbury recorded 14 property deed transfers between July 24 and Aug. 22, but only five disclosed a sale price, ranging from $580,000 to $1,000,000 with a median of $700,000. The month's top sales were tied: 96 Hanover St. and 7 Exeter Way, Lot 13, each sold for $1,000,000. Nine of the 14 transfers appeared to involve family members or trusts, based on matching names between grantor and grantee, though the registry data does not disclose motivation. With most deeds lacking price data, the period offers limited grounds to characterize the market as strong or weak beyond the raw transaction count.
