Newbury zoning amendments win overwhelming voter support at Annual Town Meeting

Newbury voters approved five zoning amendments at their May 5 Annual Town Meeting. Planning Board Chair Woody Knight presented the amendments, bundled as Warrant Articles 25-29, to voters at Triton Middle/High School gymnasium. The vote totaled 125 in favor and 26 opposed, representing 82.78 percent approval and exceeding the required two-thirds supermajority for zoning amendments.
