Newbury Planning Board backs Lower Green Local Historic District study for Town Meeting. At the January 7 virtual meeting, the board voted unanimously to approve prior minutes and voted unanimously to continue the 2-8 Old Point Road Site Plan Review hearing to January 21. Robin Etheridge, chair of the Lower Green Local Historic District Study Committee, presented the preliminary study report; the Historical Commission voiced full support, and Planning Board Vice Chair Peter Paicos expressed the board's backing for moving the effort to Town Meeting.
The board also discussed proposed zoning amendments and a new inclusionary zoning bylaw for the 2026 Annual Town Meeting but deferred further consideration.
