Planning Board continues subdivision hearing; secures trail grant

Newbury Planning Board votes to continue subdivision hearing and receives $10,000 grant. The board unanimously postponed the public hearing for the 15 Central Street two-lot subdivision to June 3, with applicant Michael Becker's 15 Central Byfield LLC having requested the continuance in writing. Planning Director Kristen Grubbs announced the town secured $10,000 from the Coastal Trails Coalition to support legal review of right-of-ways in the Byfield to Georgetown border trail segment.

Grubbs also reported upcoming public meetings on June 4 and 5 to engage residents in a coastal resiliency project examining beach sediment transport along Salisbury Beach and Plum Island.
