NEWBURY — Select Board approves $100,000 climate grant and refers zoning amendments. The Board unanimously accepted a $100,000 Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Program 2.0 grant prepared by Conservation Agent Mason Ferrick to fund climate resilience planning initiatives across the town. Unanimously referring proposed zoning bylaw amendments to the Planning Board for public hearing, the Board moved forward with the second year of a comprehensive recodification addressing clean energy facilities, affordable housing incentives through inclusionary zoning, and regulatory compliance updates.
