Newbury Select Board approves Town Day for August 15 with expanded funding. The Newbury Cultural Council sought $13,000 to support the event at Central Green, nearly tripling prior years' $5,000 budget, to address gaps including live music and staging. The second annual event will feature arts, food, entertainment, and a children's corner; last year's inaugural drew roughly 500 attendees.
The Board unanimously authorized a DPW collective bargaining agreement and approved 15 short-term rental permits and 11 one-day liquor licenses.
