Select Board approves three-year Deputy Police Chief contract

Newbury Select Board unanimously approves Deputy Police Chief three-year contract. The agreement, spanning July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029, includes 3 percent annual salary increases, a $2,000 uniform allowance, and 25 allotted days with carryover provisions. Town Administrator Tracy Blais praised Deputy Chief Aaron Wojtkowski's professionalism and community engagement.
Chair William DiMaio and Member Geoffrey Walker highlighted Wojtkowski's exceptional outreach work, particularly with the Council on Aging, and said the town is fortunate to have his leadership.
