Newbury trail committee charts engineering work on two segments. Committee Co-Chair David Broll and Planning Director Kristen Grubbs led work on the Newbury South segment (Georgetown to Byfield), where the Massachusetts Department of Transportation right-of-way team, including Pam Markey and Nikki Peters, will conduct bi-weekly coordination on title reviews. Design completion is projected at 75 percent by fall and 100 percent by January 2027.
A 14-month feasibility study by Kittelson is underway for the Newbury North segment.
